Who this is

Black Hills Floor Coatings is an independent quote-request service for garage-floor coating projects in Pennington, Lawrence and Custer Counties, South Dakota. It is not a contractor and performs no coating work.

What is collected

When you submit an estimate request

  • Your name, email address and telephone number
  • Your preferred contact method
  • The project address, city and ZIP code
  • Project details: space type, approximate size, concrete condition, known issues, timeframe
  • Anything you write in the description, and any photographs you attach
  • Your consent, and the time it was recorded

Automatically, with a request

  • The IP address the request came from
  • The browser user-agent string
  • The page you submitted from, the referring page, and any campaign parameters in the URL

IP address and user-agent are kept for abuse prevention — rate limiting and spam detection. They are not used to build a profile of you.

Site analytics

Aggregate page views and interaction counts are recorded first-party. No advertising cookies or cross-site tracking are used, and analytics records are not linked to your estimate request.

What is done with it

Your estimate request is passed to one independent local floor-coating provider covering this territory. That is its purpose.

Specifically:

  • It is not sold.
  • It is not distributed to multiple competing contractors.
  • It is not passed to any other marketing company, aggregator or lead broker.

A copy is retained by the site operator so there is a record of what was submitted and what happened to it.

No SMS

No SMS or text-message marketing programme is operated, and no consent to receive text messages is collected.

If you give a telephone number and choose phone contact, expect a phone call from the provider about your project. That is the only use of it.

Legal basis, in plain terms

Your details are processed because you submitted them asking to be contacted about a project. If you did not intend that, ask for deletion — see below.

How long it is kept

Data Retention
Estimate request (name, contact, project details) 24 months from submission, then deleted
IP address and user-agent 90 days, then removed from the record
Photographs you attach With the request; deleted at the same time
Aggregate analytics Indefinitely, in aggregate form with no personal identifiers

Records may be kept longer where genuinely necessary to resolve a dispute or meet a legal obligation. Where that happens, only what is necessary is kept.

Who else sees it

  • The local provider your request is routed to. They receive your contact and project details in order to contact you and estimate the work. Once they hold it, their own handling of it is their responsibility.
  • Infrastructure providers that host this site and its database, and the email service used to deliver the request. They process it on the operator's instruction.

That is the complete list. Your information is not sold or shared for anyone else's marketing.

Security

Requests are transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in an access-controlled database. Administrative access is limited to the operator. Contact details are redacted in ordinary operational logs.

No system is perfectly secure, and no claim is made otherwise.

Your choices

You may ask to:

  • See what has been recorded about you
  • Correct anything inaccurate
  • Delete your request
  • Withdraw your request from being passed on, if it has not already been

To make a privacy request, call (605) 600-1592 and leave a message stating that it is a privacy request. Requests are actioned within 30 days.

One limitation worth stating honestly: once your request has been passed to the provider, deleting the copy held here does not delete theirs. Contact them directly as well, and they can be identified for you on request.

Children

This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

Email inquiries are no longer accepted. The only public contact methods are phone 605-600-1592 and the estimate-request modal.

Contact

  • Phone: 605-600-1592
  • Estimate request: via the modal on any page
